Below are some examples of work from both on-location recording sessions and archival recordings of live concerts. In a live setting, some compromises must typically be made; to avoid equipment obscuring the audience's view, for example. The goal is always to present the music in the most realistic and flattering way possible within these limitations. On-location recording sessions, in venues carefully chosen for their acoustics, and without the distractions of an audience, allow for pristine results and offer complete flexibility in the selection and placement of microphones and other equipment. A preliminary conversation with the musician(s) to discuss aesthetic goals for the recording is always very welcome. Detailed documentation is kept for each session — please inquire for information about the music, performers, venue, or equipment used.
